I was born and raised in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. I made the Wood River Valley my home in 2007. I have a BA in Communications from Washington State University and a Masters of Science in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I come from a family of teachers - ranging from the elementary classroom to high school art and music.

After a brief career in advertising, I found myself drawn to education. I have taught elementary aged children since 1998 in both the public and private sectors. Twenty-six of those years were spent as a classroom teacher. More recently, I moved into the Reading Specialist position. I feel so fortunate to be able to work with students across all the elementary levels, Kindergarten through fifth grade. There is a special sort of magic in elementary school. I love being a part of it!

When not at school, you will often find me hiking the trails of the valley with my chocolate lab or skiing with friends in the winter. I love to be outdoors and simply enjoy the beauty of nature!

I am very excited to be a part of Blaine County working as a Reading Specialist at Ernest Hemingway Steam School.
